Privacy Policy
- 2026-11-11b · effective 11 November 2026 · announced 28 October 2026 · not yet in effect · material change
Minimum age is now 18. We state that we do not train AI models on your questionnaire answers or reports and that our AI provider may not either. Your questionnaire answers and reports are deleted on request or when you delete your account, with copies in backups and at sub-processors kept at most 30 days; billing (7 years), support (3 years) and the record of the Terms and Privacy Policy versions you accepted and your cookie and marketing choices (7 years after your account closes) keep their own periods. Corrections, so the policy matches what HEADING does: income is the figure you enter, not an estimate; we list every questionnaire field we hold (household, children's age bands, profession, employment type, your and your partner's income, healthcare plan and premium, target home price); your answers go to the service providers that run HEADING for us (our AI provider, hosting and database) only so they can produce your estimates and reports on our instructions, and they may not use them for their own purposes; analytics is tied to your account and is not anonymous; we do not sell or share personal information; analyses are deleted automatically after 2 years (free) or 7 years (paid), with four reminders before deletion; our error-monitoring provider deletes error and performance records 30 days after they are recorded (replacing the earlier 90-day and 1-year wording). New: a US state privacy rights section (your rights and how to use them, what we collect); product analytics runs only if you accept it in the cookie banner, and if you already have an account it stays off until you accept; closing the banner without choosing, a Global Privacy Control signal or a Do Not Track signal from your browser counts as not accepting; Tally (our beta research form) and the email provider that hosts our privacy mailbox are now described among the services that handle your data; and a waitlist retention period of 12 months from joining or your last confirmed interest (30 days if you never confirm). - 2026-11-11 · effective 11 November 2026 · announced 28 October 2026 · never in effect (replaced by version 2026-11-11b before its effective date) · material change

The inventory is now complete and shows how long each item is kept. Added: the Google sign-in flow cookies (heading_oauth_consent, heading_oauth_country, next-auth.pkce.code_verifier, next-auth.state), the privacy-choices banner and policy-version items, the dismissal of the home-city offer, PostHog's tab and opt-out-marker items, and the Google and Stripe redirects.
